The Cate Riley October Conference Scholarship

Since many programs are experiencing serious cutbacks in funding, WAEYC is making available funds to send staff members to the October Conference. Presenters, who donate their stipends, fund this scholarship. We can think of no better way to honor Cate Riley’s memory than to continue to support professional development in the field she so loved. Heads of programs or treasurers should send a letter requesting aid for their staff to the conference chair. This letter should state reasons for the request. It should also contain the names of the staff for whom funds are requested and state their positions at the center.

Linda Lattimer Professional Tuition Grants

The Linda Fraser Lattimer Grants were established to honor the memory of Linda Fraser Lattimer who was the founding director of the Purchase College Children’s Center.  The purpose of the award is to make professional education in the field of early childhood more readily available to Westchester AEYC members currently working in the field of Early Childhood Education.
